My other book is so difficult to write. I am starting on a different project. Here's the brief summary:
A man from the 21st century has himself cryogenically frozen because he dreams his true love will not exist for 1000 years. When he emerges he discovers that the world has become a utopia. Open land, forests, fields, and wildlife cover the face of the planet with only a scarce number of people. The protagonist finds himself a special guest of the enigmatic immortal-empress of the world who had saved his freezing-tube so that he could be used as a propaganda tool of the government. The protagonist is love-struck, but he comes to discover that the utopia came at a heavy price, and he learns the truth about history and the continued oppression of freedom. Could the forced destruction of civilization be morally justified if it put an end to large scale suffering forever?
